Restarting…

A restart of this blog and now in English, for the non Dutch-reading people.

The last months I have been busy with Netvibes (among other stuff). I kept working on the Public Page for Nurses (in education): www.netvibes.com/EduCMB. At the EAHIL conference in Helsinki I held a presentation on Start Pages in Libraries. You can watch this presentation on blip.tv. Many thanks to Guus van den Brekel, who did the recordeding. I’m still very enthusiastic about Netvibes and it’s possibilities. In the last time I made several pages for staff members of our department Obstetrics & Gynaecology. When they hear about the possibilities they become very enthusiastic too. So more staff members are expected to come to our library for this service…

Next week I will attend Ticer:Digital Libraries à la Carte 2008. I will assist Guus van den Brekel in the workshop: Power to the Users (and the libraries). It’s about Library 2.0 and one of the subjects is how to make a Personal Start Page, a Public Page and the advantages of them. I’m looking forward to it.

I will also attend the module ‘Libraries – Partners in Teaching and Learning’ and maybe the module “Libraries – Partners in Research and Open Access. It sounds all very interesting.
